A storyboard for a game about guerrilla gardening in a gray world
Storyboard by Rick-TinyWorlds

We're tasked to create a game concept for university. As we're both big nature fans, who think the city we study in is gray and ugly, we wanted to create something about making the city a nicer place to live in.
A way to do that is by Guerrilla Gardening:

"Guerrilla gardening is the act of gardening on land that the gardeners do not have the legal rights to utilize, such as an abandoned site, an area that is not being cared for, or private property. It encompasses a diverse range of people and motivations, ranging from gardeners who spill over their legal boundaries to gardeners with political influences who seek to provoke change by using guerrilla gardening as a form of protest or direct action."
- Wikipedia

The creation of our concept is largely inspired by abandoned places/ruins and "urban gardens" - community gardens right in the city.

I found the following image while digging trough my archives from last year.
Maybe I'll release some photos from 2015 soon, there are some I really like.

We'll have to finish the concept until Wednesday, so I'll update you soon with more info :)
EDIT: Turned out not to be interesting for an update. But we're developing a new game now! +I'll probably write about Guerilla Gardening again at some point.

Addendum

Do you have a neglected space nearby, which could need some plants?

Guerilla gardening is awesome and I think it is a good idea to practise it. It can only cause good, at worst it remains unnoticed or someone will uproot the stuff. So - go ahead there!

Anyone should practice it anyway. Deserted concrete bowls to hinter People from parking or driving into a certain space usually look horrible. There are so many forlorn spaces. Probably, planting veggies would be great. Tomatoes and stuff. But make sure the place is not contaminated by chemicals for example, as could be the case in deserted factories. How I wish I had one of these to live and grow veggies in!!!

And taking spaces not currently needed like the one at your university is a good idea, too. Your professors must like that.

Greetings to you Rick and to All!
